President Bush at Sage Valley

Hey Everybody, Former President George W. Bush was in town last week for the Private Opening Ceremony for the Junior Invitational which was held at Sage Valley Country Club in Graniteville, South Carolina. On Wednesday prior to the Invitational, an event for the First Tee Golf program was held. The First Tee Golf program  was founded in 1997 by the World Golf Foundation. The goal of the program is to make a positive impact on the lives of young people from diverse backgrounds by introducing them to the game of golf.  The First Tee educational programs promote healthy choices, and build character through modeling nine core values (Honesty, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Respect, Confidence, Responsibility, Perseverance, Courtesy, and Judgement) which are central to the game of golf. As Honorary Chair of The First Tee, Former President Bush is keeping the foundation on course to meet their goal of having ten million members and reaching out to 8,000 elementary schools by the year 2015. It was both an honor and a privilege to photograph this event that enhances the lives of so many young men and women.
