Hey Everybody, I have been working on an incredibly huge commercial job. I was hired by Jim Burton to photograph the Jone’s Creek Golf Course.in Evans, Georgia. For the last two weeks, everytime, I have had free time I have been out on a golf cart photographing the course. This was a crazy project! First, Jim had to teach me to drive a golf cart, can you believe that?! Then, I was on my own, cruising around the course, I have been out there at dawn, mid-day, and at sunset. Now, taking golf course pictures is alot different than taking landscape photos. My first batch, after I had all eighteen holes done was rejected! Jim was like these are great for landscapes, but don’t show the terrain of the course. So, back in the golf cart I went, borrowing my friend Don’s, telephoto 400 lens-this time I invited Jim to go with me so I could see how a golfer thinks-after three holes he send me back on my own and guess what??? Jim loved the photos! And then it was into photoshop to make retouch all images and make the course look amazing. I took out telephone wires and leaves and things. The course to me is the most beautiful place in the world. I know this for a fact, I used to walk the course everyday. Believe me, riding in a golf cart is so much nicer!!! Well, check out my photos soon on the website http://www.jonescreekgolfclub.com/ I hope you all love them, and stop by Jone’s Creek to golf real soon! -Sally (One of these days maybe I will learn to play!)
